Due to the extremely short WU completion times we have transiently halted the transitioner and validator which both will be reactivated this evening. The WU generator continues to run.

Perhaps you could explain why the CMS WUs need to be so short?

Can't you make them bigger?

No, I really can't make these bigger. Obviously, some CMS just are terribly short and probably we need to design some sort of a run-time filter that, in the future, will automatically decide what to distribute and what not (on the basis of our run time estimates). With such a system, these short WUS could for examlple be executed on the idle cores of the server instead of being sent out to the client machines. I will think about it. For now, we have at least learnt another lesson, so it's good that we are still in testing phase.

Hello,
our wus are real work units, no test work units. We still get scientific results out of them. Now we are facing the issue, that wus are extreme short, so I will probably enhance the wu generator to save them localy on the server and run them there.
We will always enhance the possibility and functionality of the project. So there will be never 100 ready without further developments ;)
