Besides implementing the virtual screening pipeline on the RNA World server, we are currently working on the inspection of the results of the very long running tasks you have returned to our server. This is quite time-consuming, because we have to do this manually as there is no BOINC-based automated way of validating the results of XXL WUs versus those of the more recently developed VM-based WUs. As a result of our progress, you may have noticed, that from time to time our server will hand out a few more of the challenging tasks. Of course, all of these will be of the VM-type so you do not have to worry about checkpointing and the missing of deadlines as these WUs auto-extend the deadlines as long as your machine is online from time to time and can contact our server to provide progress information.

Neben der Implementierung unserer "Virtual Screeening"-Pipeline auf dem RNA World Server, befassen wir uns derzeit mit der Validierung der Ergebnisse der von euch zurückgelieferten "Langläufer"-WUs. Dies ist insofern sehr zeitaufwändig, als wir dies nur durch manuelle Inspektion abarbeiten können, da es unter BOINC keine server-automatisierte Möglichkeit gibt, die Ergebnisse der älteren XXL-WUs mit denen der neueren VM-WUs abzugleichen. Als Resultat unserer Aktivitäten werdet ihr vermutlich bereits festgestellt haben, dass unser Server von Zeit zu Zeit erneut einige der aufwändigeren WUs ausliefert. Diese sind allesamt vom VM-Typ, sodass ihr euch keine Sorgen über fehlendes Checkpointing oder Abgabefristen zu machen braucht, da sich die Abgabefristen dieser WUs automatisch verlängern, solange eure Maschine von Zeit zu Zeit Kontakt mit unserem Server aufnehmen kann.
